Description

This is no Farmoor, Otmoor or Port Meadow. This is Grimsbury. It's Grim up north!

There is a running total year list in the link above.

Please send in your bird sightings to the B.O.S. and/or to me directly for inclusion on the blog. If you have some photos you would like to contribute please let me know (contact via the comments box on the right if you do not have my email already). Thank you.

18th Sep 2022

Another reasonably quiet week, but the Great White Egret was still around up to the 17th as well as up to 5 (!) Little Egrets. That must be the most Little Egrets there has ever been at the reservoir. The floating matt of weed is starting to die off and break down which may be why the Great White has now moved on.

Other bits this week - John had 2 Little Grebes and a Raven yesterday and I had an adult Yellow-legged Gull early this morning (and possibly a juv too but it wasn't light enough to be certain) and a Greylag Goose over.
