Description

This is no Farmoor, Otmoor or Port Meadow. This is Grimsbury. It's Grim up north!

There is a running total year list in the link above.

Please send in your bird sightings to the B.O.S. and/or to me directly for inclusion on the blog. If you have some photos you would like to contribute please let me know (contact via the comments box on the right if you do not have my email already). Thank you.

16th Oct 2022: Rock Pipit

On Tuesday morning I had our first Brambling of the autumn flyover west, a Siskin over and several Redwing around. Wednesday morning I had 2 Siskin over and another ringed Black-headed Gull (but couldn't get any details from the ring).
Friday morning was almost completely dead, except for a Rock Pipit that appeared on the western shore and stayed around for a few hours at least. Otherwise 3 Redwing and 1+ Siskin over.
Sunday morning John and I had a few bits fly over - Lesser Redpoll, minimum of 3 Siskin possibly a couple more and 2 Mistle Thrush but otherwise fairly standard.
