Description

This is no Farmoor, Otmoor or Port Meadow. This is Grimsbury. It's Grim up north!

There is a running total year list in the link above.

Please send in your bird sightings to the B.O.S. and/or to me directly for inclusion on the blog. If you have some photos you would like to contribute please let me know (contact via the comments box on the right if you do not have my email already). Thank you.

6th Aug 2026

On Monday morning Adrian Tysoe confirmed the Ringed Plover was still present as well as 3 Common Sandpipers and Clive had 2 Redstarts along the ditch in the cattle field.

Clive had a Stonechat and 2 Common Sandpipers on Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon I had a/the Ringed Plover and a Little Egret briefly.

Yesterday morning Adrian had 2 Goosanders as well as a few Yellow Wagtails, Common Sandpiper and a big passage of House Martins.

Several people out today and the Ringed Plover still present (I'm going to assume it's the same one even though it's not seen some days) and JFT and Clive had a Redstart and Green Sandpiper briefly.
